Sven Hinrichsen is a professor for Industrial Engineering at Ostwestfalen-Lippe University of Applied Sciences and Arts. His research interests include the design of production and assembly systems. He started his professional career as a toolmaker, studied industrial engineering and management at the University of Siegen and received his doctorate in industrial engineering from the RWTH Aachen University.
Before he took over the professorship for Industrial Engineering in 2011, he was head of Industrial Engineering at a manufacturer of consumer goods.
