Susanne Robra-Bissantz was appointed Professor of Business Information Systems at Technische Universität Braunschweig in 2007. Since that time, she has managed the Institute of Business Information Systems and has been Chair of Information Management. She and her team carry out research into how apps and software are transformed into valuable digital services, also referred to as ‘e-services’. Her area of focus is person-oriented services, whose interactions and ecosystems she explains on the basis of service logic and, as required, digitally develops. She and her team also implement their findings in projects with different partners.
Professor Susanne Robra-Bissantz briefly studied primary school education and then Business Administration with a focus on Information Systems, Statistics and Marketing at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, where at the Institute of Information Systems under Professor Freimut Bodendorf she worked as a research assistant and earned her PhD and professor qualification in (digital) communication and then the electronic customer interface. She has been active in a variety of committees and agencies dedicated to the quality of studies and teaching, including as Dean of Studies at Technische Universität Braunschweig, Dean of Studies at Niedersächsische Technische Hochschule and most recently, from autumn 2014 to spring 2018, as Vice President of Studies and Cooperation.
