Prof. Sabine Pfeiffer
Sabine Pfeiffer, since 2018, holds the chair of Sociology (Technology – Labour – Society) at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg and conducts research on digitalization and labour, with a special focus on Industry 4.0. After her vocational training and several years of experience as tool maker she completed her Master degree (Magister) in Sociology, Philosophy and Psychology with honors. From 2000 to 2010 she worked as a researcher at the ISF Munich, and earned her doctoral degree (Dr. phil.) and habilitation during this time. 2010 she was appointed professor at the University of Applied Sciences at Munich, and 2014 at the University of Hohenheim. Sabine Pfeiffer is member of several scientific advisory boards, e.g. of the German platform „Industrie 4.0“, the BIBB and "Rat der Arbeitswelt" at the BMAS.
