There is no denying that digitalisation has been demanding new approaches and solutions for years now. And yet many companies have found themselves facing unprecedented challenges during the coronavirus pandemic this year. With decision-making processes becoming increasingly urgent and complex, decentralised decision-making structures and flat hierarchies have become crucial. It is also important for employees to be adaptable, flexible, motivated and empowered. This enables companies with decentralised decision-making structures and flat hierarchies to respond more quickly to new requirements with added speed. Agility and, above all, diversity have come to be seen as key factors for success.
The aims of this session are to present current practical examples and to discuss advantages, challenges and new research questions with scientists and social partners.
